Current Vacancies

Thank you for your interest in working with us! To find out more about us and the team you could be joining – browse the website, look us up on social media, give us a call, or come and see us in action.

At CYE we have built a reputation for excellent provision of exciting and adventurous activities. As a Christian organisation, we share the gospel in what we do and how we work, therefore it is a genuine occupational requirement for post-holders to be a committed Christian.

Trainee Activity Leaders

Each September we have a fantastic group of trainee activity leaders (18 – 25 year olds) join the team – it is so much more than a ‘gap year’! If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you. You can read our information pack to give you a flavour of a year at CYE and download the application form and send it back to (Please bear in mind that we are often over subscribed for these positions and interviews are as early as December/January. Therefore, if you are interested, please get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.)

We have 1 remaining place for the trainee year starting this September.
Application Deadline: 13/05/24
Interviews: 21/05/24

We view our volunteers as part of the #cyeteam – you make what we do possible! You can read more here but these are some current gaps we’re looking to fill:

Galley & Housekeeping
(all year round, week days or weekends)

Could you spare a regular day or half day per week to come and help in the galley? Or do you have catering experience and would be interested in helping cater for our events? Whether you can offer regular or one off hours, we’d be interested to hear from you. Contact us on for more information.

Activity Volunteers
(March-October, week days, weekends, term time or holidays)

If you’ve got activity qualifications and experience, and love working with children and young people – we want to hear from you! Contact us on and we’ll get you to fill in a short form to help us work out how and where you can best serve on the team.

Maintenance Volunteers (Mondays)

We have a fantastic group of willing volunteers help us out on Mondays with a variety of maintenance tasks around site – fondly known as ‘The COGS’; because they keep the place going! Do you have skills such as electronics, plumbing, decorating, woodwork, boat maintenance or general DIY that you could offer? If so, we’d love you to join this team. Your day will be headed up by Steve, our Maintenance Manager, and you’ll also have a tasty cake breaks and hot lunch provided and a chance to meet the rest of the staff team over lunch and coffee breaks. Email for more information.
