Bursary Fund
We want everyone to be able to come to CYE events and so our Bursary Fund offers financial help for those who cannot otherwise afford to come. It might be that you need to apply more than once or just this time to help you through a tricky patch; we welcome all applications. Please download and complete the form and then send it back to bursary@cye.org.uk.
We are usually able to offer up to 40% of the event cost for anyone under the age of 25.
Applications are dealt with by our Admin Manager and one or two seperate charity trustees, other than this, applications are kept private. We will ask for your feedback after the event, however this will always be kept anonymous, and any photos used in conjunction with the bursary fund are of general events rather than specific children/young people that have received awards.
If you wish to donate monthly or give a one-off gift to support this fund please visit our donation page and put ‘bursary fund’ in the ‘details/reference number’ box or contact the CYE office: admin@cye.org.uk or 01243 573375
‘My son and I are so grateful to have received a bursary which made it possible for him to attend a 2 day trip to CYE with his school friends. He was able to enjoy new activities he hadn’t tried before in a safe environment with fantastic staff. He particularly enjoyed the sailing which he now wants to continue! He has made memories with his friends that will last a lifetime and gained some experience of independence in preparation for moving up to senior school. Thank you CYE and the bursary scheme for giving him this opportunity.’
‘My two children came to CYE for the first time this summer. We applied to you for a bursary and were so grateful for the 40% of the cost that you covered. We wanted to say a huge thank you – they had an absolutely brilliant time. They have talked a lot about the different leaders they met, how much they liked them, and recounted some of the amazing testimonies they heard. They found these really inspiring. They loved the activities, especially the tunnelling and kayaking to Bosham. They raved about the food, my son discovered he likes courgettes and hot sauce and has been eager to try lots of new things since they got back. My daughter has kept her Bible by her bed since her return and is reading away, more than she ever used to.
We were expecting them to be wiped out and want to disappear to their rooms on their return, but not at all. They were full of joy and stories and so eager to share them. They definitely needed a good scrubbing and a nice hot wash for all their damp, muddy clothes, but we were delighted at how happy and enlivened they were and have remained since they got back.
Thank you for the financial support that enabled them both to come, and for all the work and prayer that goes into making it such a great experience for them. We are so grateful and really hope to have more to do with CYE in the future.
Many, many thanks‘
‘Please can you pass on my thanks to all the team who facilitated & ran the activity day today. My oldest daughter said it was the best thing she’s done so far this year. She absolutely loved every moment of it! Oh and my other daughter is a leftie and it was so refreshing to hear from her she was accommodated at every part of the day with left handed equipment. She also had an absolute blast of a day. Please also pass on our thanks & gratitude for our girls receiving a bursary for their places; it made it do-able then for both of them to attend.
