TS resolute

TS Resolute is our floating home – a one-off accommodation ship sleeping 50. Between adventures you can gather in cosy spaces, enjoy home-made meals, and take in stunning harbour views.

Thwaites House

Thwaites House is our beautiful, purpose-built facility featuring a kit store, changing rooms, workshops, a boat garage and chapel. With accessible facilities, ground-source heat pump and MVHR system, it ensures a smooth, earth-friendly start to every adventure.

Chapel

Upstairs in Thwaites House you'll find the Chapel – a light-filled space for meetings, worship and reflection. With kitchenette, full AV and stunning views, it's perfect for gathering. The acoustics are incredible too – everyone's singing voice sounds amazing here!

I can't afford the fees - can you help?

Please investigate our Bursary Fund! It's there for people who wouldn't be able to come to our events for financial reasons. We endeavor to remove as many barriers as possible from people being able to come to CYE. The process is discrete and confidential and CYE may be able to cover up to 40% of the fees for young people under 25. You can read more about the Bursary fund here. Are your staff DBS checked?

Yes, all staff and volunteers are DBS checked. If you would like to discuss anything to do with our Child Protection Policy, please contact the office.

When you say there'll be some 'Christian content' what does this mean?

Christian Youth Enterprises is a Christian charitable organisation. Everyone who works at the Centre (and board of Trustees) shares the Christian faith. Whilst we believe that this is the foundation to what we do and why we do it, we are understanding and respectful of everyone's beliefs and views, whatever these are. Our aim is to share what we believe with our guests in a relevant, engaging and exciting way and encourage our guests to think about and share what they believe too.

My child left something behind after their visit to CYE. Can you help?

We keep lost property items for a maximum of 1 week before giving them to charity. In order to return them we ask you to arrange a collection using the Royal Mail website. They will be able to collect the item from CYE and get it to you. Please contact the office to arrange this.

Is my child insured whilst with CYE? What is your policy?

If they come with an organised group (school, youth group etc.) then any insurance will be arranged by the group prior to booking. If the child attends one of CYE's calendar events then the Centre has a £10m Public Liability policy in force – details of which are available upon request. Since personal belongings aren't covered by CYE, we strongly advise that parents ensure these are covered either by their existing household insurance or that a specific policy to cover their time at the Centre is taken out. Does my child need to bring any money or snacks/sweets with them?

We have a CYE shop which sells things like CYE caps, keyrings, pens etc. We normally recommend about £5-10 spending money for a residential stay. Please do not send your child with sweets or snacks as they will have plenty of food (including amazing home-made cake) whilst they're here!
