At CYE, play is priority! When families spend time here together they have a chance to grow in new ways. Relationships blossom as the pressure of the day-to-day is replaced with adventurous activities led by a life-filled team of instructors.

Our fantastic accommodation vessel, TS Resolute, is available to hire throughout the winter. It sleeps 50 people, one group at a time – so team up with some other families for an unforgettable weekend!

Join us on May 2nd from 1-6 for an unforgettable Open Day! We’re bringing the community together for a massive afternoon of entertainment and adventure. From the water activities to the charm of local stalls and face painting, there’s no shortage of things to do. Plus, prepare to be entertained by the Hellcats Cheerleaders, Dance and Beyond, Grace and Hope Worship, and the Rock Choir! Entry is free and no booking is necessary. Just come along, grab a coffee (and some cake!), and sign up for your activities when you arrive.

What shall I/my child bring when they go to CYE?

There's no need to go out and spend lots of money buying new equipment and clothing. We have a full kit list of what you need to bring here. We provide specific things such as wetsuits, buoyancy aids, and waterproofs. Please do call us if you have any questions about kit.

What if my child has an injury before coming to CYE and can't participate in activities?

If it's a residential stay they will still benefit hugely from being away with their friends. We will accommodate them as much as possible to ensure that they still get the full CYE experience. For example, a child with an arm in plaster might accompany one of the instructors in a Safety boat for the afternoon. If your child is on a specific sailing or paddling course and their injury means they cannot participate, please call us to discuss the options (most likely we'll offer for you to defer their place to another course)

My child can't swim, how will you make sure they're safe?

We require that children and staff alike MUST wear a properly fitting buoyancy aid before being allowed near the water (from the jetty onwards). Buoyancy aids will keep a person completely afloat until they are attended to, regardless of whether they can swim or not. If your child has any concerns over being on the water, let us know beforehand and we will make sure that both you and they are reassured and communicated with accordingly.
