Inferno (15-18)

Freedom, adventure and deep faith conversations for 15-18 year olds seeking an unforgettable week with like-minded people.

Take the adventure further

Inferno is where independence meets adventure. Designed for 15-18 year olds, this camp gives you the freedom to craft your own experience whilst being part of an incredible community. You choose which activities you want to try – whether that's experimenting with different sailing boats, pushing yourself in kayaking or canoeing, or simply enjoying beach trips to East Head, chilling on boats and late-night campfires with new friends.

The atmosphere at Inferno is more relaxed and flexible than our younger camps, reflecting the fact that you're nearly adults. There's time to relax with friends, space to think and opportunities to engage in deeper conversations about faith, identity and the big questions that matter most at this stage of life.

Each evening, we bring in inspirational speakers who tackle real issues head-on. Their talks are followed by relaxed discussions where nothing is off-limits – doubt, purpose, relationships, suffering, social justice and what following Jesus actually looks like when you're navigating college, relationships and a complex world.

Whether you're rock-solid in your faith, full of questions or somewhere in the middle, Inferno provides a safe space to explore, challenge and grow. The week also includes legendary activities like our night-time invasion game 'Raid the Ship', DVD nights and whatever else the theme brings. This isn't just another camp – it's a week that could shape the rest of your life.

Freedom to Explore

Inferno respects that you're nearly adults. You have genuine freedom to choose your activities, manage your own time and engage at whatever level feels right. Want to go all-in on water sports? Perfect. Prefer to spend time in conversation, on beach walks or just hanging out? That's completely valid too. Your week, your way.

Honest Faith for Real Life

The evening talks at Inferno don't shy away from difficult topics. Our speakers bring fresh perspectives on what it means to follow Jesus in today's world – addressing doubt, suffering, relationships, justice and purpose with honesty and depth. Small group discussions afterwards give you space to wrestle with hard questions alongside peers who are on similar journeys.

"Even if you think you might be bad at sailing, just come and give it a go. Kindness and patience is what you’ll find. Find rest, fun and relationships. It’s so much fun! The staff are a delight!"

FAQs

Let us put your mind at rest.  Please do get in touch if you have any other questions.

What shall I/my child bring when they go to CYE?

There's no need to go out and spend lots of money buying new equipment and clothing. We have a full kit list of what you need to bring here. We provide specific things such as wetsuits, buoyancy aids, and waterproofs. Please do call us if you have any questions about kit.

There are some things I need you to know about my child before they come to CYE (medical/need to know/bedwetting/allergies/SEND information). How is it best to share this information with you?

For your child to have the best and safest time possible with us, it is important that you alert us to anything you think we need to know about their needs. There are very few things that we haven't come across before and our staff are excellent at discreetly supporting, encouraging and keeping an eye out for whatever help is needed.

I can't afford the fees - can you help?

Please investigate our Bursary Fund! It's there for people who wouldn't be able to come to our events for financial reasons. We endeavor to remove as many barriers as possible from people being able to come to CYE. The process is discrete and confidential and CYE may be able to cover up to 40% of the fees for young people under 25. You can read more about the Bursary fund here. If you want to apply, Download the form and send it to bursary@cye.org.uk.
