Paddle our fleet of stable canoes, perfect for gentle paddling or big adventures.
With our fleet of quality Mad River and Old Town canoes, we offer everything from introductory sessions to more advanced canoeing experiences. These stable, easy-to-handle boats are ideal for learning paddle strokes, steering, teamwork, and water safety.
Many groups take part in a journey paddle from CYE to Bosham, exploring the harbour and experiencing canoeing as a shared adventure. These trips focus on steady progress, reading the conditions, and working together on the water.
At other times, canoeing takes on a more energetic feel. Through games and challenges, sessions can become wet and wonderfully chaotic -full of splashing, laughter, and the sort of happy chaos that only happens on the water.
Canoeing builds coordination, communication, and confidence. It gives young people the chance to take responsibility, support one another, and grow in resilience on the water.

Can't wait until the summer to go to camp? Want to come on camp but not for the full 6 days? Fancy getting stuck in with the CYE activities and embracing the wet and wild? Autumn Inferno is a new event for 15 - 18 year olds! A mini camp in the October half term full of all the usual things - but be prepared to enjoy them all in the glorious(!) British autumn weather!

A one night sleepover taster of CYE for 7 to 10 year olds. Just one night away from home but jam packed full of fun for a brilliant introduction to CYE camps! Have a taster of activities on land and water, yummy food, silly games and talks. We are looking forward to welcoming you for a first sleepover at CYE!

'Reload' is our event package for 18-30 year olds. This Reload event is held at a Christian activity centre called St Georges House in Georgeham, North Devon.
The weekend will involve plenty of time to be outdoors - activities such as surfing, kayaking, climbing, mountain biking and coasteering are on offer, as well as walks, beaches, fire pits, pub trips and coffee shop stops. We'll also have a speaker and times to pray and worship together. It's a great weekend that usually sells out, so get in there quick so we can hang out together in Devon!
The cost is £112pp which includes your accommodation, all your food and one sports activity on Saturday. You can also choose to do an extra sports activity on Saturday for an additional £27, (pay on booking or on the event). There will be some other free options too.
STUDENT DISCOUNT! If you are currently in full time education, enter the code UNI=NODOSH to receive a 40% discount on the cost of the event. Bring your NUS card to the event.

A quiet day aboard Resolute is an opportunity to step aside and spend time at the waters edge, where land meets sea - a place of change and nourishment. The ebbing and flowing of the tide lends a natural rhythm to the day and helps us recover our own natural rhythm.
The day is spent in silence. Various optional resources are available to help make the most of your day including a range of contemplative poems and texts and one-to-one time with an experienced listener.
The coastal path is available for easy walks from the ship and there will be an opportunity to experience a pilgrimage walk.
The day ends with a time of shared reflection - a chance to still ourselves before we return to our every day

This day retreat invites participants into deep silence, surrounded by the beauty of Chichester Harbour. Rooted in the contemplative spiritual tradition, the day will flow with a rhythm of prayer, meditation, and connection with creation. The rising and falling tide will mirror our silent journey inward, opening space for encounter with the divine presence in nature and stillness.
This day retreat is open to those with an established meditative prayer practice, such as Centering Prayer, Christian Meditation, or Christian Mindfulness. It will not offer any teaching on these methods; it is intended for established practitioners accustomed to lengthy silent periods.

We will hold a safe space to explore ancient contemplative practices such as Lectio Davina and Examen. We’ll learn to engage our imagination and senses as we create a quiet space to listen to the still, small voice of God.
Whether this is your first retreat or your hundredth, whether you're in your twenties, thirties, or beyond, we warmly invite you to explore if this weekend could be beneficial for you. Retreats are open to everyone and can provide meaningful experiences at all life stages, particularly for those new to this kind of space or looking to rediscover their faith’s direction.
Ralph Buckingham will be leading our retreat. He has a rich background, having worked at CYE in the 90s and 2000s, taught at an international Christian school in India, and dedicated many years to working in a local church. Currently, Ralph serves as a spiritual director, guiding others on their faith journeys.

If you can't wait any longer for a little bit of CYE Summer camps then you've come to the right place. This event is aimed at facilitating a reunion between campers and providing a little mid winter boost to our faith to kickstart 2027.
Come ready for a day packed full of summer camp madness... in the middle of winter!
There will be games, challenges, cake and a campfire as well as plenty of opportunities to catch up with friends. We'll also make sure we have time to listen to a short talk and pray together at the start of a New Year.
