The prospect of living on board “The Gerald Daniel”, an ex navy minesweeper which floats on each high tide is still an exciting prospect for all our visitors. Inside there is accommodation for 40 in cabins, a meeting/dining room for 50 and fully equipped galley and other facilities. On land you will find showers, drying room, fully equipped classroom, assault course, archery range, equipment stores and a grass area for games and BBQ’s
Activities include sailing canoeing, raft building, team challenges, environmental studies and sporting activities.

NEW CHANGING ROOMS
Those of you who have been on activities at the sailing centre will know the changing rooms well.
This winter, they have both been completely gutted, a brand new tiled floor laid down and all the shower and toilet cubicles re-built.
Make sure you come and visit us soon to see them.
CHANGING SHIPS AND CHANGING LIVES
The experience of living on “The Gerald Daniel” may end after the 2010 season!
Then there will be a new, more spacious ship to live on!!.
We are presently converting a new ship to take the Gerald Daniel’s place
If the project goes to plan the new ship will be in full use by March 2011.
The Gerald Daniel will be decommissioned from October 2010 and sold

CYE Sailing Centre is staffed by Christians committed to working among young people and families, providing healthy outdoor activities, education and training in a Christian environment. The staff team are highly qualified and experienced holding the necessary activity qualifications and CRB checks. CYE sailing centre is a registered charity and non profit making organisation that aims to give value for money and keep prices down.
