[CYE] - Christian Youth Enterprises

We offer several RYA powerboat courses covering everything from the basics of launching down a slipway, through to high speed driving. Although predominantly taught in RIB's (Rigid Inflatable Boat) we also have various displacement and tiller steered craft to give you a breadth of powerboat experience.

RYA National Powerboat Scheme Courses

Level 1 and Level 2:

No experience is necessary prior to the course. The syllabus covers all the basic boat handling skills and background theory required to helm a powerboat safely. This is usually run as a combined 2 day course.

Safety Boat:

Having mastered boat-handling skills, this course develops a range of rescue skills performed from within a powerboat. Some topics covered include recovery of an inverted sailing dinghy, recovery of personnel from the water, towing techniques, emergency response scenario training. Courses are usually run in early spring and late autumn. This is a 2 day course and participants are required to be at least Level 2 standard.
